NEW CLIENT PROCESS

Working with Brownlee Wealth Management starts with a simple 3-step process. The discovery meeting is the second step. Our goal is for you to make an educated and informed decision about working with us (or any advisor for that matter). Whether we decide to work together in a formal advisory relationship or not, we’re confident that you’ll walk away with concrete steps to improve your financial life.

Step One: Introduction Phone Call. 15 minutes.

During this step, we spend fifteen minutes discussing what you’re looking to accomplish and whether our firm is a good solution for you. You’ll leave this call knowing what the financial planning process looks like, how we operate as an Investment Advisor, and any other questions you may have. If it makes sense for us to continue the conversation, we’ll move to step two.

Step Two: Discovery Meeting. 45-60 minutes.

During this step, we take a 30,000-foot view of the financial planning process and your situation. We talk about the problems you’re looking to solve and how we can go about better understanding them. We’ll start to get a broad understanding of the areas in your financial plan that we can potentially shore up, as well as opportunities to maximize.

Feel free to bring anything that gives insight into your current financial situation (statements, balances, Social Security estimate, budget, etc.). Don’t take more than 5-10 minutes gathering those items, though-we won’t be diving into the weeds just yet.

Note: The discovery meeting can be in-person (Woodlands or Houston locations) or virtual.

Step Three: Solutions and Pricing Meeting. 1.5-2 hours.

In this meeting, we take a 10,000-foot view of your situation. The goal is to give you a clear picture into what working with BWM looks like. We’ll walk through a one-page financial plan and how we would advise in the defensive portions of your financial life (mainly estate planning and insurance) and the offensive portions (tax planning and retirement/college planning). You’ll also see how we build portfolios and leave with a transparent price quote.
